PhD applicants

The lab works on data science, predictive analytics and big data — including AI-enabled process automation, and applied AI in health, education, banking and policing. Start with Prof. Amin Beheshti's profile to see current research and supervision, then:

  1. Read how to apply for a research degree at Macquarie University.
  2. Complete the self-assessment form (Word, ~23 KB).
  3. Draft your proposal with the research proposal template (PDF, ~0.6 MB).
  4. Email your CV, transcript, form and draft proposal to ai@mq.edu.au.

MRes applicants

Macquarie's Master of Research is the standard pathway into the lab's PhD program. The same values, materials and contact route as PhD applicants apply; see the university's how-to-apply page for MRes admission.

Internships and capstone projects

The lab convenes Macquarie's Computing internship and data science capstone programs, which also serve as a pathway into research for coursework students:

Visiting researchers

The lab regularly hosts visiting PhD students and academics. Contact ai@mq.edu.au with your CV, research interests and proposed visit dates.
